The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach – if they can just get through their teen years.

The It Gets Better Project wants to remind teenagers in the LGBT community that they are not alone — and it WILL get better.

David Cameron and Alex Salmond have joined other MPs and celebrities who have added their support to the campaign, which provides reassuring messages to lesbian, gay and bisexual school pupils – telling them that they don’t have to wait for things to get better in their lives – they can be great now.

Take the pledge and get involved by helping spread the message of hope to LGBT youth: It Gets Better.

THE PLEDGE: Everyone deserves to be respected for who they are.

I pledge to spread this message to my friends, family and neighbours.

I'll speak up against hate and intolerance whenever I see it, at school and at work.

I'll provide hope for lesbian, gay, bi, trans and other bullied teens by letting them know that "It Gets Better."
