“Big, beautiful, elegant, feminine, pretty, blousy, scented roses are a must,” said Ruth of Mimi Fleur who arranged this seasonal shoot at the recently opened Orangery at Hayne House in Saltwood. “Many couples adore French luxury, loving both ostentatious accents, with inspiration taken from Parisian apartments and ‘pops’ of understated rural comfort, like French lavender, and ‘weathered’ charm”.
Ruth continued “You can pick up old frames from charity and junk shops, they certainly don’t need to be in perfect condition as you then apply my favourite chalk-based Annie Sloan paints. This décor fits well in well in elegant country houses, rustic, weathered barns as well as eco-chic industrial spaces and of course orangeries ”.
